PIA Orientation
Each semester Polytechnic Institute Australia (PIA) runs an Orientation session designed to get you settled and prepared. All new students are expected to attend Orientation. You’ll meet your course coordinators and support staff, learn how to use key student systems (like Office 365, Moodle and the Virtual Library), and connect with fellow students.
Orientation also covers important topics like academic expectations and integrity, campus policies and procedures, student support and wellbeing services, and — for international students — essentials such as health cover and work-rights while studying. For anyone who misses the main Orientation, PIA also offers a Late Orientation in Week 2, ensuring all students receive the same guidance and support to start successfully.
Jump in early, get informed, and start your semester with confidence.
